Matcha Kōrei | Organic | 2025

抹茶 煌玲

Ultra-creamy, luxurious Ujihikari matcha with a deep, lingering sweetness and characteristic oceanic sensations of umami that, almost like waves, ebb and flow across the palate in delicate rhythms.
Even when prepared as a concentrated koicha (‘thick tea’), there is no bitterness present – an expression of Matcha Kōrei’s uncompromising quality.
Grown by organic farming methods by Mr. and Mrs. Furukawa, who in 2025 were awarded both the national and regional first prizes for their tencha produced from the Ujihikari cultivar.
Hand-picked during the year’s first and only harvest on May 13th 2025 after 36 days of tana shading, from a single garden of naturally grown (shizen-jitate) tea trees in Gokasho in the heart of Uji.
