Hand-carved chasen matcha whisk in traditional Shin Kazuho form.

Crafted from white hachiku bamboo by Chikumeidō under the leadership of Kubo Sabun, the twenty-fourth generation of an unbroken line of bamboo master artisans in Takayama, Nara.

The white bamboo is grown locally in Nara and slowly dried in Takayama for up to three years before use – a fully natural process that helps ensure the uncompromising quality and extensive longevity of Chikumeidō’s chasen whisks.

Comes in a cardboard box decorated with Japanese washi paper.
