Our organic sencha with matcha – also known in Japanese as matcha-iri sencha – is surely the greenest of all our teas in io.
By combining organic fukamushi sencha with our stone-milled Matcha Wakamidori, the finely cut tea leaves brew a vivid spring green tea with a clean vegetal character and refreshingly light-bodied umami structure – especially suitable for cold brewing mizudashi style.

Description

Cultivars: Asanoka, Asatsuyu, Yabukita, Yutakamidori

Age: 10-40 years

Altitude: 150-200 masl

Shade: covered 7-16 days prior to harvest

Gødning: homemade, fermented organic fertiliser made of organic by-products from the local fishing industry and agriculture in the Kagoshima region

Harvest: April 16th – May 3rd 2025
