Ōdai Kuki-hōjicha | Organic | 2024

大台 茎ほうじ茶

Hōjicha made of spring-harvested stems (kuki) from organically farmed Yabukita and Zairai trees in Ōdai, Mie.
Finished by tea farmer Kimihiko Hayashi-san himself, with a well-balanced and unusually light roasting profile that highlights clean notes of ripe stone fruit and a subtle yet warm, soybean-like umami.
The pure stem material results in a tea naturally low in caffeine and makes Ōdai Kuki-hōjicha suitable for enjoying at any time of the day.
