Matcha Seizan | Organic | 2025

抹茶 青山

Matcha Seizan stands as one of our biggest surprises from the 2025-harvest: a perfectly balanced organic matcha made by the Saitō family from a single garden of Yumewakaba trees, a cultivar that remains highly uncommon in matcha production.
While Honyama in Shizuoka is not a traditional area for producing matcha, the high quality of Matcha Seizan testifies to the region’s deep knowledge of tea cultivation.
The carefully stone-milled powder whisks easily into a creamy, naturally sweet tea with an almost dessert-like first impression.
A pleasant umami quickly follows, complemented by a clean and refreshing sense of minerality – reminding us of the tea leaves’ gentle farming method and their mountainous origin.
