Yamazoe Oolong | Natural farming | 2024

山添 烏龍

Spring-harvested Fūshun oolong created from a unique blend of processing techniques combining the local Kumano-style of sun-dried kamairicha with traditional production methods of Chinese roasted oolong.
The result is a rare Japanese whole-leaf semi-oxidized tea where deep aromas of antique wood are delicately balanced by sweet notes of yellow fruit and a lingering sensation of cooling, camphor-like herbs.
Grown by natural farming methods without any use of pesticides and fertilizers by Mrs and Mrs Kayashita of Mitocha Nōen in Yamazoe, Nara.
