Naturally farmed green kamairicha made of carefully preserved 2022 vintage spring leaves from +50 year old Yabukita tea trees.
The neatly rolled pan-fired tea leaves slowly unfold across numerous infusions with a pleasantly body-warming and almost buttery, nut-like note.
Sweet hints of autumn fruit are also here, reminding us of nashi pear, backed by a clean and refreshing mountain minerality – a testimony to the tea trees’ old age and deep roots, grown without any use of pesticides and fertilisers by Mr and Mrs Kayashita in Yamazoe, Nara.
