Tsukigase Kenkō Chaen’s organic Tsukigase Sencha is a rustic unshaded spring tea that thrives at high brewing temperatures.
Abundant hours of sunshine shine through as a pronounced sense of astringency, or 渋味 shibumi in Japanese, balanced by refreshing vegetal notes and aromatic hints of citrus fruit.
Gradually, a warm and naturally sweet aftertaste returns in the throat accompanied by a subtle yet distinct sense of minerality – a testament to the mountainous Tsukigase terroir.
