Matcha Wakamidori represents our most light-bodied and freshly vegetal organic matcha.
Here, a gentle bitterness is balanced by naturally sweet sensations lingering in the aftertaste with hints of warm milk for which the Kanayamidori cultivar is particularly known – especially suitable for high-grade matcha latte, but also enjoyable when whisked on its own.
Produced by Asuka Nuruki in Chiran, Kagoshima, from her own blend of spring-harvested Kanayamidori, Yukatamidori, and Saemidori leaves, and always freshly stone-milled in small monthly batches to ensure optimal freshness.

Altitude: 150-200 masl

Shade: covered 16-20 days before harvest

Fertilising: homemade fermented organic fertiliser made from leftover products from local agriculture and fishing industry
