Handpicked Saemidori matcha grown and produced by Masamitsu Akahori in Nishio, Aichi.
The careful handpicking in early spring combined with an extensive tana shading period of 37 days results in a very delicate expression of the fine Saemidori cultivar.
Whisked as usucha, the vibrantly green tea lingers with great personality on the palate, rooted in a clean, green pea-like freshness and deep sense of natural sweetness. Even when prepared as koicha, we find no hints of bitterness.
Grown without any use of pesticides or artificial fertilisers and freshly stone-milled to us each month to ensure optimal freshness.
