Tsukigase Kōcha ‘Greenish’ | Natural farming | 2025

月ヶ瀬 紅茶 グリニッシュ

Spring-harvested wakōcha black tea, which is only very gently oxidised in the shade of the nearby forest and then carefully processed to keep the young Yabukita leaves fully intact.
The light oxidation preserves greenish elements of the spring leaf, creating a unique expression that highlights the bright aromas of the leaf as it slowly begins to wilt – a process known in Japanese as 萎凋香 ichōka.
The result is an elegant and beautifully aromatic tea, where pure notes of sweet berries and grapes are complemented by a refreshing floral character – grown by natural farming methods without any use of pesticides or fertilisers in the mountains surrounding Tsukigase in Nara.
blackcurrant – green grapes – chamomile blossoms
