Tsukigase Kōcha Benifūki | Natural farming | 2024

月ヶ瀬 紅茶 べにふうき

Spring-harvested wakōcha black tea made from the classic Japanese black tea cultivar Benifūki, with rich notes of fragrant wood and a deep muscatel-like sweetness.
The carefully oxidized whole spring leaves slowly unfold, bearing witness to tea farmer Fumiaki Iwata’s decades-long dedication to crafting an original Japanese black tea of the highest quality.
The result is a deeply aromatic and layered wakōcha, beautifully expressing its mountainous origin — grown by natural farming methods without any use of pesticides or fertilising in Tsukigase, Nara.
