Kamo Gyokuro | Natural farming | 2023

加茂 玉露

Naturally farmed gyokuro from a single garden of Gokō tea trees in Kamo, Kyoto, harvested after twenty-three days of kanreisha shade on May 17th 2023 by Tokuya Yamazaki.
A rare example of a completely unfertilized gyokuro which Mr Yamazaki, as a matter of principle, does not subject to any final sorting process – where neatly rolled dark-green needle-like leaves, bright-coloured stems as well as smaller leaf particles offer a pure and natural expression of the entire Gokō leaf.
