Gokase Ichō Kamairicha Fūshun | Pesticide-free and artificial fertiliser-free | 2025

五ヶ瀬 萎凋釜炒り茶 ふうしゅん

Lightly wilted (ichō) kamairicha made from the Fūshun – “Abundant Spring” – cultivar, greeting us first and foremost with a rich, almost oolong-like florality.
Refreshing summer-vegetal notes and a lingering natural sweetness gradually appear as well to make these carefully semi-oxidized spring leaves a truly unique expression of Japanese pan-fired green tea.
Grown and produced by Yōichi Kōrogi without any use of pesticides or artificial fertilisers in the mountain village of Gokase in Miyazaki located at an altitude of approximately 600 meters above sea level.
