Gokase Ichō Kamairicha Fūshun | Pesticide-free and artificial fertiliser-free | 2024

五ヶ瀬 萎凋釜炒り茶 ふうしゅん

Lightly withered (ichō) kamairicha made from the Fūshun – ‘abundant spring’ – cultivar offering an intense, almost oolong-like florality reminding us of white lilies, jasmine, and elderflowers.
Hints of aromatic herbs and a lingering, naturally sweet aftertaste combine to make these gently semi-oxidized spring leaves a highly unique expression of Japanese pan-fired (kamairi) green tea.
Produced and grown by Yōichi Kōrogi without any use of pesticides and artificial fertilisers at Rūpi Chaen in Gokase, Miyazaki.
