One of our most popular teas, and for good reasons: Chiran Farmer’s Sencha is a well-balanced and wholesome farmer-style green tea with a warm nut-like sweetness and pleasant umami structure reflecting the renowned qualities of the entire Yabukita leaf.
Harvested in April 2025 after seven days of direct shading and finished as a medium-steamed (chūmushi) unsorted ‘raw tea’ aracha with a moderate hi-ire firing.

Age: 20-45 years

Altitude: 150-200 masl

Shade: direct covering for 7 days before harvest

Fertilising: homemade fermented organic fertiliser made from leftover products from local agriculture and fishing industry
