Yamazoe Kamairi-ryokucha | Natural farming | 2025

山添 釜炒り緑茶

Spring-harvested green kamairicha created from the elegant Gokō cultivar by Mr. and Mrs. Kayashita in Yamazoe, Nara.
The carefully rolled pan-fired tea leaves slowly unfurl, standing as a beautiful testimony to the Kayashita family’s always meticulous craftsmanship.
Here, we are first met by a warm, buttery sensation followed by a gentle oceanic umami, gradually transforming into a lingering sweet aftertaste with a clean and refreshing sense of minerality – reminding us of the gentle cultivation of the tea trees without any use of pesticides and fertilisers in the mountainous landscape surrounding Yamazoe village.
