Yamazoe Harubancha | Natural farming | 2026

山添 春ばん茶

Traditional sun-dried and pan-fired spring (‘haru’) bancha harvested in March when the large, mature winter leaves of the tea trees are accompanied by the year’s earliest tiny, tiny buds.
Brewed even with boiling water, we are here met by a soft and soothing amber-golden tea with bright notes of cooling herbs and sweet wildflowers.
The rustic bancha material offers numerous enjoyable infusions and conveys from the first sip a pleasantly balanced body sensation that can seem at once warming and cooling, calming and uplifting – as if embodying the seasonal transition of winter gradually turning into spring.
