Our organic genmaicha from Ōdai in Mie is a harmonious everyday-style tea, specially made for io by tea farmer Kimihiko Hayashi.

Here, roasted organic brown rice is combined with Hayashi-san’s own karigane – a refreshing green tea with distinct hints of citrus made from spring-harvested stems from his organic Yabukita and Zairai gardens.

The green stems and roasted rice create together a comfortingly body-warming and delicious tea that is at once soothing and gently uplifting — naturally low in caffeine and free of any bitterness, making Ōdai Karigane Genmaicha easy to enjoy at any time of day.
