I hope you will embrace these small differences as characteristics that give each piece individuality and character, making them all the more lovable.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Yuichi Romita is a young Japanese-Italian potter traditionally trained in the Nanban Yakishime style of unglazed wood-fired pottery in Karatsu, Japan. Here, during a period of four years, Romita studied as apprentice under Nakazato Tarouemon, the 14th generation of an unbroken line of family potters dating back to the late 14th century.<\/p>\n<p>Following his stay in Japan, Romita moved to Sk\u00e6lsk\u00f8r in Denmark, where he began developing his own interpretation of Nanban Yakishime wood firing, drawing on experiences from his apprenticeship in Karatsu as well as his residency at the International Ceramic Research Center of Guldagergaard.
