My work has been named &#8220;Mouhou Chaki\u201d, which means re-creation with respect and admiration for that period. Enjoy a cup of tea.\u201d    <\/i><\/p>\n<p>Based in Tochigi prefecture, ceramic artist Hikaru Nakada specializes in teaware with a deep sense of connection to history.<\/p>\n<p>Nakada\u2019s work displays a rare multitude of forms and materials, often applying carefully recreated glazes, molding techniques, and other traditional methods inspired by the great teaware potters of the Edo period.<\/p>\n<p>In this way, Nakada\u2019s body of work can be seen as a kind of practical archeology, reconnecting us with the artisanal roots of early sencha culture.
