During the workshop, Shiraishi-san will teach us how to make sakuramochi as well as serve a variation of sakuramochi freshly made by himself. Tea will also be served during the workshop.<\/p>\n<p>The duration of the workshop is an hour and a half with a maximum of eight participants. No prior knowledge of wagashi is required. The workshop takes place in io <span lang=\"ja\">\u3044\u307b<\/span> on Bl\u00e5g\u00e5rdsgade 15, 2200 Copenhagen.<\/p>\n<h4>About Manabu Shiraishi | <span lang=\"ja\">\u767d\u77f3\u5b66<\/span><\/h4>\n<p>Manabu Shiraishi originally trained as a traditional wagashi chef in Sapporo, Hokkaido, after which he worked as a wagashi master in the acclaimed restaurant Jin in Ginza, Tokyo. After Jin, Shiraishi-san moved to work in New York and most recently Paris, where he today serves wagashi as head p\u00e2tissier at Chakaiseki Akiyoshi, while also preparing wagashi for other Paris-based Japanese restaurants as well as local tea ceremony groups.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<h4><span lang=\"ja\">\u548c\u83d3\u5b50\u30ef\u30fc\u30af\u30b7\u30e7\u30c3\u30d7<\/span><\/h4>\n<h5>Let\u2019s practice together the art of making our own wagashi \u2013 Japan\u2019s traditional and seasonal tea confection.<\/h5>\n<h5>During this workshop, participants will be taught by wagashi master Manabu Shiraishi how to prepare <em>sakuramochi,<\/em> one of Japan&#8217;s classical forms of spring wagashi.<\/h5>\n<h5>We will also be enjoying a freshly made wagashi by Shiraishi-san himself as the workshop concludes \u2013 together with a bowl of matcha.<\/h5>\n<h5><\/h5>\n<p><em>After purchase, an order confirmation will be sent via email which serves as the ticket to the selected workshop.
