The dark bamboo is grown in Japan and has been naturally dried in Takayama for approximately three years before use.<\/p>\n<p>Chikumeid\u014d is a traditional family-run bamboo workshop that has been creating bamboo utensils for the Japanese tea ceremony for more than 500 years.
