Spring-harvested genmaicha from Mr and Mrs Iwasaki in Ryōgōchi, Shizuoka, where organically farmed Yabukita leaves have been added a modest amount of small-grained roasted organic genmai rice from Akita prefecture.
Brewed together, Ryōgōchi Genmaicha offers an unusually pure and well-balanced genmaicha experience where the roasted notes from the rice never overpower the spring-like nature of the sencha leaves – but instead rest in a delicate harmony between soothing sensations of warmth and a refreshing, ocean-like umami.
