Description

Description | 詳細

Haruka is part of Kogadō’s Suiko series – a series of natural Japanese incense inspired by Empress Suiko (554-628) who, according to tradition, is credited with introducing the use of incense wood to Japan. The Suiko series is therefore crafted in ceremonial Kōdō style, focusing on the pure fragrance of unmixed incense wood.

Haruka is made exclusively from sandalwood and sandalwood oil as well as natural binding agent extracted from the Japanese tabunoki tree, also known as Machilus Thunbergii. The fragrance of the pure sandalwood is characteristically sweet and naturally soothing, and it diffuses gently in the room as the incense slowly burns down – here in a slightly milder form of expression compared to Kogadō’s premium sandalwood-based incense, Hoshi no hayashi.
