Chiran Nōen’s organic sencha with matcha – known in Japanese as matcha-iri sencha – is without a doubt the greenest of all our teas in io!
By combining 100% deep-steamed (fukamushi) organic sencha with Chiran Nōen’s own in-house stone-ground organic Matcha Wakamidori, the tea leaves brew a deliciously refreshing green tea created specifically for mizudashi-style cold brewing.
Simply pour cold water on the tea leaves and let them slowly infuse while refrigerated. After a few hours – or possibly by letting the leaves infuse overnight – a vibrantly verdant and naturally sweet tea will be ready to enjoy.
Cold brewing the tea may in principle take place in any clean and airtight glass vessel, but we recommend Harios Mizudashi Cold Brew Bottle designed specifically for the purpose.
